Comedy Duo Movie Night

14th February 2017 brought our most successful fundraiser yet - a Comdey Duo Movie Night!
Bethan Aspland (President) announced to the club she would be organising a charity movie night to raise money for charity but also bring a new type of social for members to enjoy with each other and other students. Polls were posted on social media and the movie 'White Chicks' was selected and planning begun.
Sweets and popcorn purchased, licensing and admin complete and guests invited and all was set for a fun-filled night of snacks and laughs!
People started arriving from 5pm with the SU Floor filling up with excited students in a highly decorated area, ready for one of America's most popular comedies. As seats filled the movie began at 6pm and it was a night to remember, for gymnasts and other students who joined us. The movie came to a close and students left with smiles on their faces, what an enjoyable night!
To raise a bit of extra money we hosted a Pick 'n' Mix stall throughout the day selling a range of sweets and popcorn, some kindly donated by Dixon's in Lockwood, which proved exceptionally popular.
In total we raised an impressive £177.44 in aid of Forget Me Not Children's Hospice, a fantastic achievement for the club.
